With a team our size, we're always looking for tournament judges. The team is required to provide judges for all competitors. Depending on the tournament, we register 30+ teams/debaters per weekend, which requires approximately 20+ judges. All families need to judge at least 2 days during the season in order to cover our team entries. You will only judge teams from other schools, not Edina debaters!
These are the typical requirements for tournament entry:
Policy (CX): 1 judge for every 2 teams/4 debaters
Public Forum (PF): 1 judge for every 2 teams/4 debaters
Lincoln-Douglas (LD): 1 judge for every 2 teams/2 debaters
Congress: 1 judge for every 5 debaters
Speech: 1 judge for every 6 entries
Sign-up forms for Debate and Speech will be shared here, and families will receive an email for information about live, in-person judge training sessions and the sign-up forms for each closer to their respective seasons.
